And then there were Five!

Our emotions are overflowing & hard to put into words.  We got our precious Lexi Marie this morning & she is everything we could have ever prayed for.  She is just pure sweetness.  Full of joy and her smiles will melt you.

We took about a 15min drive from our hotel this morning & when we arrived at the Registration office along with the other 7 families from our agency there were already a couple of the children there awaiting their forever families.  It was all happening so fast as we walked into the building & we were struggling to take it all in with tears abounding.  We watched as several of our new found friends were meeting their long awaited babies for the first time.  Watching families formed in an instant & some becoming parents for the very first time.  It was like watching the miracle of family unfold before our eyes.  Within 10 minutes another van arrived & 2 more babies were carried in by their nannies.  All it took was one look in her eyes & I knew one of those sweet babies was our Lexi Marie!  It was like any big momentous occasion where it seems to happen too fast & almost in a blur.  Keaton & Addison were so sweet & could not get close enough to her.  In fact, Addison grabbed her quickly from my hands so she could hold her.  That moment was absolutely precious seeing those two forever bonded Asian sisters staring deep into each other's eyes.  Keaton soon got his chance to hold her & my emotions couldn't hold back anymore.  What a brave young man he has become, treading across the continents twice now to help welcome his sisters into our family!

Lexi seemed to take to all of us immediately...smiling & scrunching up that sweet little nose of hers as if to say "look at how cute I am".  She played with the new toys we had brought & didn't seem to mind being passed from person to person.  The only time she started to whimper was when she wandered over to one of her orphanage workers & reached up for her to hold her but Keaton & Addison were able to swoop in & quickly distract her with some snack puffs.  Those things work miracles!

We came back to the hotel & were able to facetime some of our family & close friends before it got too late (sorry if we woke you) but oh the wonders of modern technology!  She ate a bit then took a 2 hour nap.  Something you can pray for though is she is suffering from a pretty bad cold & has been running a fever since we got to the hotel.  Our guides here are amazing though & have already been to the pharmacy to get us some cold meds.  We have a pretty long day ahead of us tomorrow with paper work in the morning & then visiting her province in the afternoon.  That is about an 1 1/2 hr drive to & from & the paperwork takes several hours so I pray she is feeling better.  One other quick thing you could pray for is a chance to visit her orphanage tomorrow.  Our guide just told us that is dependent on how long the papetwork takes so we are praying we still get the opportunity.  This has been her home since birth & we would cherish the chance to see it & take pictures.

Bart is going to add some pictures so I will leave it at this.  More posts to follow but thank you for following along & keeping us in your prayers!  Means more than you know.  We can sleep well tonight knowing we have our Lexi Marie & knowing there is now one less orphan without a Momma & Dada.  Love you all!
